Best known for her landscape based work and minimalist quilts Helen has been making and exhibiting her stitched art textiles since 1990. Based near the Peak District National Park in Northern England her current influences include seasonal landscapes and textile traditions. Helen is currently focusing on completing her second book and hopes to return to leading occasional weekend workshops and creative retreats from 2019/2020 onwards.

mark_makingMark making in Textile Art, Batsford, 2013 has now been reprinted and is available online and through bookstores. Published in the US as Mark making: fresh inspiration for fiber artists – with a soft cover.

Helen is now working on a new book with the working title ’Through the Seasons’ for publication (hopefully) in 2019.
