Best known for her landscape based work and minimalist quilts Helen has been making and exhibiting stitched art textiles and teaching since 1990. Based near the Peak District National Park in Northern England her current inspirations include the seasons, landscapes and textile traditions. Helen has now completed her new book ‘Mark Making Through the Seasons’ for publication by Batsford on 1 August 2019. Helen also leads weekend workshops and creative retreats, the next one is ‘Responding to spring’ at West Dean College, near Chichester, 16-19 May.
Mark making in Textile Art, Batsford, 2013 has now been reprinted and is available online and through bookshops. Published in the US as Mark making: fresh inspiration for fiber artists – with a soft cover.
